Members of the COMA Voices ensemble have taken part in several high-profile Performance Projects. The ensemble aims to work towards several major performances per year, as well as commissioning new music to add to the vocal repertoire.

John Cage UnCaged Musicircus, Barbican Centre

Professional singers Monica Acosta, Sara Cluderay, Sophie Cox and Tom Shorter appeared under the name of COMA Voices London, at this fantastic contemporary music event, inspired by the music of the American Avant Garde composer John Cage. Over 300 performers took part in the Musicircus, performing music by Cage and his contempories in the foyer of the Barbican Hall, London. The performance inspired the creation of COMA Voices as it is today, as an ensemble for amateur singers to perform and commission new repertoire. Monica, Sara and Sophie still play a major role in the ensemble as workshop leaders, and administrators.

COMA Summer School 2004, Bretton Hall

Monica Acosta and Sophie Cox performed duets and solos from composers including Berberian, Cage and Stockhausen at the COMA Summer School, to promote the launch of COMA Voices.
